Ever wanted to save the Earth after watching an episode of Captain Planet? Now you can be almost as cool as a Planeteer by buying a Subaru. For those of you for whom Saturday morning cartoons are not reason enough, here's a video explaining the green details:
Subaru, you may have already known, has long been an environmentally conscious company. Many Subaru vehicles, from the XV Crosstrek to the Forester are available with Partial Zero Emissions (PZEV) engines.
Subaru is also the first automotive manufacturer in the US recognized for having zero-landfill factories. That means when a Subaru comes off the production line, no waste goes into a landfill. Anything left over from the process is recycled, or turned into energy.
The National Parks Service does astounding work protecting the country's most beautiful resources and environmental assets. However, visitors to these parks generate over 100 million pounds of garbage each year, which ends up in landfills.
If Subaru can make a car with zero-landfills, then they can help our National Parks operate without landfills. A pilot program is beginning to try and make three major national parks Landfill-free, to act as a model of waste-reduction in other parks around the country.
Support Subaru in this goal by driving one of our cars. Visit us at Don Miller Subaru West, and take a test drive in a new vehicle.
