Takata Airbag Inflator Recall: Let our Service Experts Help

At Don Miller Subaru West, your safety has been and always will be paramount to our business model. When we rehome vehicles, we take every possible precaution to ensure that you drive away in a Subaru that will prove reliable for years to come. Because of this concern, we want to ensure we do everything we can to solve the potential safety hazards in your Subaru.

The widespread recall of Takata airbag inflators in select passenger-side airbags of Subaru vehicles is our call to action. For those vehicles that have been affected, we ask that you visit our trained technicians, who will replace the faulty inflator free of charge. While we can't get you to bring your vehicle in for service, we can do everything in our power to be honest about your safety and make solving these problems as easy and effective for you as possible.

Does This Mean You?

The drivers-side airbag inflator has not been affected. The passenger-side airbag of some the following Subaru models and model years has been compromised and should be addressed as soon as possible:

  • 2003-2005 model year Baja
  • 2004-2005 model year Impreza (including WRX and STI)
  • 2003-2008 model year Legacy
  • 2003-2008 model year Outback

Only some of these models and model years have been affected. The recall prioritizes colder climates, as the airbag lifespan is shorter in these regions. Please use our VIN Search Tool to see if your vehicle has been affected.

If you do own an affected model, please do not hesitate to make an appointment for service. Furthermore, avoid having passengers occupy the front seat until the vehicle has been serviced.
