A couple weeks ago, we were telling you all about how our favorite automaker here at Don Miller Subaru West drove off with the gold at the 2014 Oregon Trail Rally. As exciting as it was, it was only just the beginning for the adrenaline junkies at Subaru Racing.

Just this week, Subaru made their way to the fabled 37-mile Isle of Man TT Road Course. Behind the wheel of the 2015 Subaru WRX STI was none other than Mark Higgins who, as you'll see in the video below, previously set an all-time record for the course back in 2011.

Since the WRX STI has come a long way since then, we suppose it's only fitting that Higgins and Subaru have outdone themselves once more. With an average lap speed of 116.470mph and an average lap time of 19.26 seconds, Higgins and Subaru went and broke the course record once more. Needless to say, it's time to break open the bubbly.

"There is nothing like a lap of the TT circuit to push a car to its limits. As the official car of the TT, this record is especially gratifying," says Dominick Infante, National Manager of Product Communications at Subaru of America, Inc. "The Isle of Man really shows the improvements we have made to the new WRX STI . . . We are evaluating whether to make another run on Friday and top this record."1

Since we clearly can't let Higgins have all the fun, feel free to feed your need for speed with a test drive in the 2015 Subaru WRX at our dealership here in Madison, WI. Just keep it under the speed limit, if you don't mind.
