What Can We Expect to See in the Upcoming 2019 Subaru Forester?

At the end of the month, Subaru will unveil the upcoming 2019 Subaru Forester at the 2019 New York Auto Show, and while all we have to go off of at this point is a shadowy picture of the taillight of the new 2019 Forester, we can expect to see a few things telling by what we know about the upcoming 2019 Ascent and other future Subaru models that were teased in the past, including the Viziv Tourer Concept. As one of the most popular Subaru models on the road and such big things to come, there's plenty of reasons to get excited about the upcoming 2019 Subaru Forester!

One thing that we can expect from the upcoming 2019 Forester is its use of the new Subaru Global platform. Starting with the 2017 Impreza and now incorporated on models like the 2018 Crosstrek, the new Global Platform is designed to provide a stiffer feel as well as eliminate noise and vibration for a smoother more enjoyable ride. The current 2018 Forester offers two engine options: a standard 2.5 four-cylinder engine with 170-horsepower and an available 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine with 250-horsepower. It could be likely that the upcoming Forester may adopt the engine that will be used in the upcoming 2019 Ascent, a 2.4-liter turbocharged engine that produces 260-horsepower, but again, this is only speculation.

While we won't know for sure what to expect from the 2019 Forester until the 2018 New York Auto Show at the end of the month, we want to invite you to learn more about our current selection of new Forester models by joining us at Don Miller Subaru West to test drive a model today!
